R&D - Technology Senior Specialist

Summary:

New products development, current products re-development and production batches trouble shooting. Evaluation of suppliers either for active and inactive materials. Follow up requirements of dosage forms as per guidelines.

Job requirements:

• Training R&D specialist on research, reporting, formulation and troubleshooting of products.

• Complete with researching in recent, updated and approved references for more details and data to develop products complying with global requirements.

• Review data collected by the specialist.

• Suggest design of experiment for each formulation.

• Order necessary materials with predetermined specification.

• Review and approve the received Certificate of analysis as per the required.

• Supervise preparation of practical trails for development of products.

• Follow up reporting, documenting and archiving product development files to give brief history for the life cycle of the products to be used as a reference when needed.

• Screening of the prepared formulae to choose the most stable promising one for scaling up and methodology evaluation.

• Designing flow chart, determine critical steps in the preparation.

• Scaling up trials for evaluation.

• Supervise preparation of samples for comparative studies (if any) for new products and formula variation or new suppliers for current products.

• Choose brand innovator for comparative study

• Perform any required adjustment in formula based on results of comparative study.

• Designing production batch records for PHARCO products and toll manufactured products to ensure maintaining specifications of finished products.

• Supervision for manufacturing of: first production batches or pilot batches of new products in PHARCO & other site (F. TOLL), the manufacturing site transfer for any current products, production batches of Pharco products (either in our site or for out-sourced products) in case of formula variation or new supplier of any ingredients used to guarantee compliance with the required specifications and make any necessary   changes concerning the manufacturing steps.

• Supervision trouble shooting process of production batches of Pharco products (either in our site or for out-sourced products) to guarantee complying finished product specifications with the required specifications.

• Communicate with other manufacturing sites of outsourced products for designing and reviewing production batch record (PBR).

• Contributing in designing of process validation protocols and reports from the technical point of view to achieve an effective process validation.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in Pharmacy.
• 3 + years of experience preferred in Pharmaceutical industry or FMCG.
